Support from others who understand
You are not alone. Join a support network for parents of youth and teens with autism, social and/or learning differences. The day in and day out of daily life with a child with autism can be difficult and has many collateral effects on mothers, fathers, husbands and wives. Finding support and a forum where you can meet with people with like experiences, whose lives have been altered as a result of the diagnosis that their child has autism, can be extremely helpful. Support focusing on the needs and feelings of parents provides parents with a platform to learn from each other and to help build strong community ties and a place to connect.
